Shipping Guidelines
Packaging Manual
How to pack, cushion, seal and label your shipments.
1. Packing Supplies
Sturdy Box
- Choose a strong, new cardboard box that fits your items.
- For valuable items (costing more than ₹7,000), use tamper-evident boxes.
- Make sure the box can handle the weight and pressure of your items.
Packing Material
- Bubble wrap
- Packing peanuts
- Foam sheets
- Packing paper
- Corrugated cardboard sheets
- Styrofoam inserts
- Packing Tape: Use strong, wide tape to seal the box well.
- Scissors: For cutting tape and packing materials.
- Labels & Markers: Clearly write the recipient and sender information, along with any special instructions.
2. Prepare the Items
Wrap Fragile Items
- Wrap each fragile item separately with bubble wrap or foam.
- Fill any empty spaces in the box with cushioning material.
- Secure Sharp Objects: For sharp objects like knives, cover them with thick newspaper and secure them with tape. Place them in a box and seal it well.
- Protect Electronics: If you have the original packaging, use it. If not, wrap the electronics in bubble wrap and place them in a sturdy box with extra padding.
3. Pack the Box
- Layer the Bottom: Put a layer of packing peanuts or crumpled paper at the bottom for cushioning.
- Arrange Items Securely:Place the wrapped items in the box so they fit snugly and don’t move around. Fill any gaps with packing materials.
- Separate Layers: If you have multiple layers of items, place a cardboard sheet or foam sheet between them for extra protection.
- Top Layer and Seal: Add a final layer of packing material on top, close the box, and shake it gently. If things move inside, add more padding.
4. Seal and Label the Box
- Seal the Box Securely: Use packing tape to seal all the seams. Reinforce the edges and corners to prevent the box from opening during transit.
Label the Box Clearly
- Download the label from the order section and paste it properly.
- If needed, mark the package as “Fragile” or note any special handling instructions.
